DS.E see five client projects shortlisted in the Placemaking category at this years Property Awards.

Our team that includes; brand consultants, creatives, digital experts and place activation specialists have worked tirelessly on multiple projects over the past twelve months and we’re delighted to have seen a section of our projects recognised at these prestigious awards.

Shortlisted projects include:

CBRE Global Investors for Angel Central, Islington working with Queensberry. CBRE Global Investors has transformed Angel Central, a top10 London retail destination, into a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. Key interventions included enhanced public realm and plaza area for events, as well a new flagship alfresco restaurant space to complement the 10-screen Vue Cinema and the O2 Academy.

Queensberry Real Estate and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council for The Glass Works, Barnsley. Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council’s £200m plans to transform the town centre include significant public realm enhancements and improvements to boost the safety of visitors. However, the primary driver for change is The Glass Works – a new retail, leisure and cultural offering. Situated on 3.8ha site, the project is being built in phases, with the final phase due to complete imminently.

Scarborough Group International and Legal & General for Thorpe Park, Leeds. Thorpe Park Leeds is the largest out of town, mixed-use development that Yorkshire has ever seen. Located at junction 46 of the M1, it is an established business, retail and leisure destination with 900,000 sq ft of offices housing more than 100 local, national and international businesses employing some 5,000 people.

Warrington & Co, Muse Developments and Warrington Borough Council for Time Square, Warrington. Time Square, the £142m town centre regeneration project delivered by Warrington & Co and Muse Developments on behalf of Warrington Borough Council, has instigated the renaissance of the town leisure scene, which its backers say will create a new beating heart for the town. The site already boasts a new Cineworld multiplex, as well as restaurants and bars.

Kajima and Genr8 for Rochdale Riverside. The Rochdale Riverside site extends to 11 acres in the heart of the town centre and formerly included the offices of Rochdale Borough Council and a bus station and multi-storey car park. In their place, Kajima and Genr8 have created a new council headquarters and transport interchange, alongside new links down to the River Roch.
